Hello Pune Learns community! It’s unbelievable that we are this close to the end of 2020. Our classes are progressing in full swing and we have some exciting initiatives in the pipeline. Keep reading this month’s newsletter to find out what our team has been up to. Enjoy!
Updates to our Core Program
For the past couple months, our core team brainstormed to come up with a program that would best adapt to the new virtual learning environment. We have now formally broken out our curriculum into two pillars – English Communication and Holistic Development. We’re confident that balancing these two pillars will create an enriching learning experience for our students.
‘Waste Management for a Sustainable Future’ Event
For our third event, we collaborated with ‘The Sustainability Journey’, an initiative by Simran Melvani and Shreya Chandrashekhar to promote eco-friendly lifestyle practices. The event was incredibly engaging and informative. The children learnt about the different kinds of waste – how to identify, recycle and dispose them to best help the environment.
One Time Volunteering Sessions Update
We’re thankful for the overwhelming response we got to our OTV Program! Thanks to that, we were able to organize three amazing sessions with our students. The first was a Story Building Workshop where the facilitator, Nehal Binani, taught the kids to weave stories out of pictures. The second session was a challenging game hosted by Chaitanya Rajhans. Pratiksha Kore, an artist, hosted an Origami Class that the children really enjoyed. If you have any fun game / storytelling / workshop ideas, let us know through this link and sign up!
