Happy Sunday from Pune Learns! We hope you’re staying safe and healthy during these troubling times. August has been an exciting month for us with a lot of new projects. This Ganapati season, we bring some positivity to you through our second edition of the Monthly Newsletter to enjoy with your modak. Cheers!

Started our ‘One Time Volunteering’ Program
We came up with the ‘One Time Volunteering’ Program specially for those who wanted to spend time with our amazing students but could not commit on a regular basis. We are gratified to have gotten a great response! Our first session was led by Saurabh Chopra, who read out the famous children’s book ‘The Little Red Riding Hood’.

Hosted an Astronomy Event
Our second event of the year was based on the theme ‘Astronomy’. We were stoked to have two awesome experts Rathin Deshpande and Amey Supnekar, whose enthusiasm for the topic kept the entire event incredibly engaging and exciting for the students. The kids had a blast exploring outer space, learning cool facts about the solar system, and participating in the constellation building activity.

Launched our ‘Empowered Communication’ Program
We are incredibly excited to announce the launch of the ‘Empowered Communication’ Program in collaboration with Pune City Connect. This program is targeted towards an older age group (18+) and will focus on their day-to- day English communication, reading comprehension and writing skills with the intent of improving their employability. The program is broken into four modules – public speaking, book and movie reviews, job interviews and CV building. We have recruited a great team of expert facilitators and commenced our sessions last week. Stay tuned for more updates!
